gct13 update

Dear fans of gct13, as this is the first photo in over two weeks you may be wondering what's going on with the site.

Please pardon the lack of updates. It's been a busy time for me, in August I moved down to Tampa, FL, and haven't been able to put much if any time into the site the past few weeks.

Being down in Florida will not be the end of this site. I will continue to travel back to Champaign County and the site will continue to be updated. This weekend I'll be in town for the Illini vs EIU football game.

gct13 will again be updated on a regular basis starting next week — yes including current scenes from CU. Although there will not be daily updates, there will be a handful of photos posted each week.

As a reminder, sign up for the email list (at the bottom of the page) so you don't miss any of the updates.

Thanks for the update, Dan. You do a magnificent job displaying the natural beauty and stunning progress of the Champaign-Urbana area. Every new post is a reminder that I need to upgrade my camera and get out there and shoot.

I'll miss the regular updates from my college home (especially the construction update photos- being a UIUC arch alum) but that gives me good reason to make my own trips back to the area. Thanks for all the photos and I look forward to the beauty from Tampa.

Great pictures. I was born in CU and raised in St. Joe. I moved to Tampa 9 years ago. Just letting you know that you're not the only CU to tampa journeyman. Would be nice to see a really good panarama for the champaign skyline that would include all the buildings once its finished. JJ

Dan -- My nephew just sent this link to me. I grew up in the campus area & was thrilled to see your truly wonderful pictures. I currently live in Carmel, CA, which has magnificent scenery, but there's something about CU which will never leave me. Thanks for sharing your gift with all.
